Terms of Service
Effective date: 26 May 2026 · Applies to all Sauce.ai accounts.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you (or the company you represent) and Sauce.ai (Pty) Ltd(“Sauce”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By creating an account or using any Sauce service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Sauce.
1. The service
Sauce is an AI-powered marketing platform that helps businesses create, manage, and publish on-brand content. The platform includes Brand Memory, Campaign Blueprints, Studio Canvas, Sauce Sparks, and scheduling tools (“the Service”).
Beta status. The Service is currently in early access (“Founders’ Beta”). Features may change, be added, or be removed without notice. We make no uptime guarantees during beta. By participating in the beta you acknowledge this and agree that any feedback you provide may be used to improve the product without compensation to you.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to act on behalf of any company you represent. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Take action immediately to secure your account if you believe it has been compromised.
You may not share account credentials with people outside your authorised team or create accounts on behalf of others without their consent.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Sauce to:
- Create, distribute, or schedule spam, unsolicited messages, or bulk commercial email.
- Generate content that is defamatory, harassing, threatening, or incites violence or hatred.
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of others.
- Impersonate any person, organisation, or brand you are not authorised to represent.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy any part of the platform.
- Circumvent any security, access control, or rate-limiting measure.
- Resell or white-label access to the Service without a written agreement with Sauce.
- Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party terms of service.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these restrictions without prior notice.
4. Content and intellectual property
Your content
You own all content you create using Sauce — campaign briefs, captions, strategies, and any other outputs (“Your Content”). By using the Service you grant Sauce a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display Your Content solely to provide the Service to you.
Brand data
Brand profiles, voice guidelines, and uploaded assets you provide remain yours. We process this data only to generate content for your account.
Sauce platform
The Sauce platform — including our software, algorithms, Brand Memory system, UI, design, and all underlying technology — is the exclusive property of Sauce.ai (Pty) Ltd. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership of the platform to you.
AI-generated content
Content generated by Sauce is AI-assisted. You are solely responsible for reviewing, editing, and approving all outputs before publishing. Sauce makes no warranty that generated content is accurate, original, or free from third-party claims. You bear full responsibility for any content you publish.
5. Subscription and billing
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. Prices are displayed at checkout and on our pricing page. All prices are in ZAR (South African Rand) unless otherwise stated.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You will receive a reminder before each renewal.
- Cancellation. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not provide pro-rated refunds for partial periods, except that annual subscribers may request a pro-rated refund within 30 days of their billing date.
- Price changes. We will give at least 30 days’ notice of any price increase. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new price.
- Taxes. Prices exclude applicable taxes (e.g., VAT). You are responsible for any taxes imposed on your use of the Service.
During the Founders’ Beta, billing terms may differ from the above. Specific beta pricing terms will be provided at signup and take precedence over this section.
6. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to keep confidential any non-public information the other shares in connection with the Service (“Confidential Information”). This obligation does not apply to information that is publicly available, already known to the receiving party, or required to be disclosed by law. Sauce will not disclose your brand data or content to other customers.
7. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your intended use. This is particularly applicable during the beta period.
8. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SAUCE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO SAUCE IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
9. Termination
You may terminate your account at any time by cancelling your subscription and deleting your account from settings, or by contacting us.
We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we reasonably believe your account is being used fraudulently. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved after 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to the courts of the Republic of South Africa, and you consent to their exclusive jurisdiction.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will give at least 14 days’ notice via email or in-platform notification. Continued use of the Service after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
